A Scarf for All Seasons
Friday, January 22 from 6-9 pm, and
Saturday, January 23 from 10 am – 4 pm

Have you always wanted to explore weaving? In this two-day workshop for beginning weavers, you will learn the fundamentals of weaving on a floor loom using variegated yarn in your choice of colors. Discover the joys of weaving and leave with a finished scarf you’ll be proud to wear.

Resist This! Woven and Resist Felted Scarves

Friday, February 5 from 6-9 pm,
Saturday, February 6 from 9:30 to 5:30 pm and
Sunday, February 7 from 2-3 pm

Weave a wool scarf, then use stencils to paint patterns on it with a clear resist. The resist prevents portions of the scarf from felting, making an intriguing contrast between felted and unfelted areas. The resulting scarf is soft, drapeable and completely unique! Previous weaving experience is suggested but not required.

Dyeing the Blues

Saturday, March 6 from 1-4 pm

Indigo has an elusive history and a mysterious nature. It spans cultures and countries on every continent. It is the tried and true of blue dyes and different from all other natural dyes. This hands-on workshop will help unravel the do’s and don’ts to achieve deep rich blues on cotton, wool and silk. Students will take home samples of a wide variety of yarns.
